3D animation in After Effects

I’ve been using the Video CoPilot Element 3D plugin which enables 3D models to be integrated directly into After Effects. I created this video for a client who wanted two smart phones, each with their version of the App his client was developing showing on their respective screens. Element 3D made it easy to add animated textures to the phones.

Element 3D is an amazing time saving tool that yields stunning results. The learning curve is medium difficulty, but if you follow the excellent tutorials on the site, you’ll learn how to use it quickly.

Video CoPilot Element 3D uses openGL processing to enable 3D geometry, animation and materials in After Effects

3DS MAX was used to create the .obj format models for this project. Set up multi-sub-object materials to enable the creation of animated and procedural textures in After Effects
